The cadets visited the evening of Viktor Shnip's poetry

The cadets of faculty of corrections visited the evening of Viktor Shnip's poetry, organized in the library No. 9 in Minsk.

The editor-in-chief of the publishing house of fiction, the winner of numerous awards, the Belarusian writer Viktor Shnip began his career at the age of 12, when he walked 10 kilometers from his native city to the village of Vyazanka in search of Yanka Kupala to read his first poem. For the first time Victor's ballads were printed when he was 17. He has published more than 20 own books for today.

Friend and fellow of Viktor, photographer Mikhail Linnik, was inspired by one of these books “Prose and the Poetry of Fire”. Currently they are working on the project “I see how I feel”: Mikhail creates collages of photographs of various attractions and landscapes of Belarus as a photo-description of the ballads of Victor Shnip.

Both artists are inspired by patriotic stories and at the end of the meeting with our cadets they wished them success in the studies and work. Also they said: “Today you are cadets, and tomorrow - the officers, but yesterday and today -you are the defenders of the Motherland.”
